For the past three (3) decades, Polytank has been at the forefront of introducing technology innovations and the latest trends in the water tank manufacturing industry in Ghana.
In line with this commitment, Polytank introduced an all-new model of water storage tanks in addition to its existing award-winning ranges reservoirs in April.
The new model known as the “Sumo Super” is the first-ever 3-layer water tank of its kind in Africa. It is produced using the latest technology in the newly commissioned state-of-the-art factory in Tema Free Zones.
The unique features of the tank include an in-built antibacterial property to prevent algae formation; UV stabilisers to withstand all weather conditions; and an overall great sturdiness.
The Sumo Super comes in three different sizes – 5,000 litres; 8,000 litres; and 10,000 litres and is available in nine (9) ranges of vibrant colours to meet the preferences and tastes of every customer.
Polytanks Ghana, earlier this year, donated dustbins, bin liners, and assorted personal protective equipment (PPE) to support and encourage a group of young men recognized to be committed to helping make the city of Accra, Ghana clean through volunteerism.
The group, also known as the Buzstopboys, attracted public attention after cleaning popular cruddy areas in Accra and desilting chocked gutters with subpar tools.

Polytank Ghana and the Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) have announced a groundbreaking partnership in support of the 2024 Rugby League 13s Championship season.
This collaboration is aimed at helping to develop and promote rugby as a strong community sport across the country.

Following this official announcement, the two parties have collaborated on sustainability initiatives including a beach clean-up exercise during the World Clean-up Day, as Polytank Ghana prepares to launch its rPET factory in Ghana.
Polytanks Ghana has gone to the aid of the Methodist Girls Senior High School in Mamfe in the Eastern Region of Ghana with a 3,000-litre water storage tank.
This kind gesture was to help the school improve their water storage facilities in order to serve their over 2,000 students’ population.
At the presentation ceremony, Miss Mary Adu, Assistant Head, Domestic, and Madam Hannah Otoo-Arthur, Senior House Mistress of the school, were grateful to Polytank for the support, which they believe will go a long way toward addressing the challenge of the students in accessing daily portable water for use.
On March 22, Polytanks Ghana joined the rest of the world to mark this year’s World Water Day by donating a 15,000-litre Polytank and four pieces of 340-litre dustbins to the Ghana Police Hospital.
The donation forms part of Polytanks’ social commitment to assist the Police Hospital in enhancing the quality of healthcare services for their staff and civilian residents in the adjoining communities.
The items were received by the Director of Nursing Service, C/Supt. Dr. Kennedy B. Japiong, in the company of other senior officers of the hospital. He expressed gratitude to the management of Polytank for the support, noting that it will not only benefit the staff of the service but also contribute to the well-being of the community they serve.
Polytanks Ghana, is partnering with the Ghana Plumbers Association (GPA) to help improve standards in the plumbing profession in Ghana.
The partnership, which is under the leadership of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers, Ghana, the policy arm of the association, is expected to help unify all plumbers under one umbrella by providing them with skills training in current trends in plumbing and heating systems.
This collaboration with the institute is also expected to help bridge the existing gap between the brand Polytank and the plumbers, empowering an enhanced relationship that will enable Polytanks to better respond to market needs with the direct contributions of the plumbers.
